The Quality Assurance Specialist we are looking for is responsible for managing all aspects of testing effacts, a complex web application for legal professionals. Your role includes defining a test strategy, planning, execution, and support issue management and resolution. We have defined three levels of support, starting with Level 1 (Customer Support). The support aspects of the position includes all facets of development support, from Level 2 (Development level) ticket management through to Level 3 (Operational Development level) issue resolution by interacting with the development team. In this position you maintain ultimate responsibility for assuring that all application components are compliant with technical specifications and requirements and that technical production issues are managed to resolution.

Responsibilities:
•Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates;
•Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan;
•Works with Development and Project Owner to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for Quality Assurance related efforts and other activities such as software deployment, integration testing, content testing, and system performance testing;
•Specify and define appropriate tools and workflow within the tools to manage all issues and resolution in defined releases;
•Create a plan and implement automated regression testing scenarios
•Leads the entire defect resolution lifecycle – from detecting and reporting defects to ensuring defects are fully resolved in defined release cycles;
•Act as the primary contact point for all development level support.

Functie eisen

•Educated to a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent
•At least three years of relevant Quality Assurance experience in a software development environment. Related experience in software for legal professionals desirable
•Experience testing and supporting is a must, experience with Java-based Server applications, databases and RESTful APIs would be a plus
•Knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g. – Scrum or Kanban)
•Knowledge of common test methodologies (e.g. – ISTQB or TMap) is an advantage
•Strong technical leadership experience of managing software testing and support teams on- and offshore
•Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
•Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills
•Ability to handle aggressive project schedules, inconsistent business requirements and strict release deadlines
•You are in possession of a valid EU work permit
•Fluency in English is required
